About the photographer and the areas photographed...

Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.

My name is Tom Sheehan, and I live in Norwell, Massachusetts... A small town rich with an interesting history of early American shipbuilding that once flourished along its famous North River.

Since I live and work in an area that I'm very interested in-and interested in photographing-many of the images you see throughout the website were photographed here in Norwell, as well as from neighboring and nearby South Shore coastal area towns such as Cohasset, Duxbury, Hanover, Hingham, Hull, Marshfield, Pembroke, and Scituate. There are also photographic images of the abandoned Fort Andrews Army Base on Peddocks Island which is one of the Boston Harbor Islands located off of the tip of Hull, as well as some images from various areas I've photographed around the United States.

I've been fortunate to have my photography work featured in South Shore Living Magazine and Photoshop Creative's European publication. My Photographs of the Union Street Bridge, and Gordon Pond in black and white infrared, have received awards from the Massachusetts Audubon Society.

All of my photography has been digital since 2003. I photograph using Nikon cameras and lenses. All of the photo images here and on my on my photoblog were photographed using Nikon digital cameras. I hope you find the images enjoyable...

Thanks again for stopping by, and do enjoy your visit!

Tom
